The four-day event centered around the Sergio Melpignano Senior Italian Open concluded on the San Domenico Golf course in Savelletri di Fasano (Brindisi). It was the fourth event of the Italian Pro Tour 2025, the circuit of national and international competitions organized by the Italian Golf Federation, in collaboration with the Minister for Sport and Youth and with the support of Official Advisor Infront Italy. It is also scheduled on the Legends Tour, reserved for champions over 50, won by England's Andrew Marshall.

The event concluded with the Pro-Am of the Sergio Melpignano Senior Italian Open, which featured 29 teams, composed of two professionals, who created the Open, and three amateurs. They competed in the Texas Scramble format over 18 holes.

The team of Swede Johan Edfors and Frenchman Lionel Alexandre, with amateurs Attilio Ruggiero, Nino Musacchio, and Dante Piemontese (54) prevailed with 54 shots, ahead of the team of Emanuele Canonica and Scotsman Stephen Gallacher, Leonardo Gravina, Giacomo Campora, and Gianluca DellOrco (55). In third place with 56 was the quintet led by Scotsmen Greig Hutcheon and David Drysdale, along with Richard Anderson, Heidi Huehn, and John Bolt.

In the gross standings, the team of Englishman Simon Khan and Welshman Phillip Price, along with Roberto Trione, Mauro Trione, and Giovanni Trione, won with 59 shots. Former soccer players Roberto Donadoni, former coach of the Italian national team and runner-up world champion with the Italian national team in 1994 in the United States, and Michele Paramatti, captain and leader of Bologna, who won a championship with Juventus in 2002, took part in the competition. They finished mid-table with the team of Swedes Michael Jonzon and Niclas Fatsh and fellow amateur Massimo Pagliarulo (58 shots).
