Jannik Sinner's new girlfriend Laila Hasanovic personally took to social media earlier this month to end the Holger Rune dating rumors.
Since the summer, it had been speculated that Sinner started dating Hasanovic. This past weekend, it became official after the 24-year-old Danish model sat in the Italian tennis star's box during the Vienna final, and the world No. 2 referred to her as "my girlfriend" during his trophy speech.
In early October, a post claimed that Hasanovic sat alongside Holger Rune's mother Aneke, and that there had been something going on between her and the Danish tennis star. After noticing the post, the Danish model dismissed such claims, bluntly stating: "So I can't even watch a regular game in my hometown without people starting dating rumors? Come on guys."
How Sinner revealed his new girlfriend Hasanovic?
On Sunday, Sinner had all but an easy job at the office. However, the top seed still managed to win Vienna after mounting a 3-6 6-3 7-5 comeback against No. 2 seed Alexander Zverev. When thanking his team during his trophy speech, the 24-year-old also directly mentioned Hasanovic.
"Thank you so much for the support. The work you put in, the effort. Also to understand me at times it is not easy, but thank you for putting in the effort. Everyone here, with family, my girlfriend, friends. To my whole team and also those watching at home. Thank you so much for the support, the four-time Grand Slam champion said in his speech.
