
At 51 years old, MVP is still stepping into the ring with younger stars and giving it everything hes gotbut that kind of grind comes at a price.
On a new episode of his Marking Out podcast, the veteran star opened up about the physical toll his recent AEW matches have taken on his body.
While discussing his routine before AEW shows, MVP gave credit to the companys medical staff, especially AEWs head doctor Sampson and the team of trainers who keep the roster functional week after week. But even with that support, MVP revealed that hes feeling the effects of two recent brutal matches.
The first injury came during the October 7th edition of AEW Dynamite, when the Hurt Syndicate took on The Demand in a street fight. MVP says Ricochets dive left him dealing with neck issues ever since.
A week later, MVP got hurt againthis time slicing his wrist on table debris during another AEW segment. He explained how AEW talent typically checks in with the trainers before shows for treatments ranging from stretches to electronic stimulation.
The follow-up match against The Opps on October 22nd only added to MVPs wear and tear, as the physicality of that contest piled on even more damage. But despite the pain, MVP shows no signs of slowing down, proving once again that his love for the business runs deep.
