WWE isnt just bringing Elimination Chamber to Chicagotheyre planning to take over the entire city.
According to PWInsider, WWE is preparing to build a full wrestling weekend around the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, which is currently scheduled for February 28, 2026, at the Allstate Arena. The plan includes hosting SmackDown the night before on February 27, with additional events being discussedincluding possible shows from NXT and even AAA.
The idea is to turn Chicago into the epicenter of wrestling that weekend, creating a full-on festival experience for fans. But theres another layer to WWEs strategyone that has AEW in its crosshairs.
Sources say the date of Elimination Chamber isnt 100% locked in yet, and WWE could shift it a week earlier or later if AEW tries to run a competing pay-per-view. Thats part of WWEs current game plan of holding PLEs on Saturday nights to better position themselves against other sports broadcastsand now, possibly to go head-to-head with Tony Khans crew.
With WWE, NXT, and AAA potentially all under the same roof that weekend, fans could get one of the most stacked wrestling weekends in recent memory. Between top stars, cross-brand appearances, and the Road to WrestleMania heating up, Chicago may become ground zero for 2026s biggest wrestling headlines.
