AEW Collision is making a rare scheduling shift this November, trading its usual Saturday night spot for a special Thanksgiving Day broadcast.
According to a Warner Bros. Discovery press release outlining its November 2025 lineup, Collision will air on Thursday, November 27 at 8 p.m. ET.
The move is a strategic oneCollision would have gone head-to-head with WWEs Survivor Series, scheduled for Saturday, November 29. Rather than compete directly, AEW is opting to air its show two nights earlier, avoiding the ratings hit that has plagued the program in similar situations.
Earlier this year, AEW learned the hard way how damaging direct competition with WWE can be. When Collision aired opposite the Royal Rumble on February 1, it drew just 197,000 viewers and a 0.04 rating in the 1849 demographicthen the lowest in the shows history for its timeslot. A similar outcome followed on March 1 when Collision faced Elimination Chamber, pulling in 280,000 viewers and a 0.06 demo rating.
Thanksgiving offers its own challenges, including NFL games and holiday specials, but its also one of the most heavily viewed nights on TV, potentially giving AEW a ratings rebound while avoiding the WWE juggernaut.
The Thanksgiving edition of Collision will come just days after the Full Gear pay-per-view on November 22 in Newark, New Jersey. The episode is expected to deliver post-PPV fallout and begin laying the groundwork for AEWs next major event, Worlds End, set for December.
