WWE has a lot of exciting shows on a weekly basis, and some fans cant wait for Tuesday nights. That being said, some of those fans will have to figure out a different way to watch the companys developmental show.

In appears that Verizon Fios customers may soon lose access to several Nexstar-owned channels, and that is including The CW Network. This will happen if a new carriage agreement is not reached by October 24, 2025. This would directly affect viewers who watch WWE NXT, which has aired weekly on The CW since October 2024.

In a notice sent to Fios TV customers, Verizon stated that its current agreement with Nexstar is set to expire. If no deal is made, channels owned by Nexstar. This is including several major market CW affiliates, and they could be dropped from the Fios TV lineup. The message emphasized that rising content costs are a key issue in the dispute.

Some of the largest impacted areas include New York (WPIX), Philadelphia (WPHL), and Washington, D.C. (WDCW), all of which carry The CW and reach millions of homes. WWE also has a ton of fans in those markets. You can find all the effected regions below.

Verizon stated it is negotiating to reach a fair and reasonable agreement but claims Nexstar is demanding significant price increases. If no resolution is reached by the October 24 deadline, Fios customers in affected markets could lose access to WWE programming through The CW, along with news, sports, and other local content.

Television contracts are very tricky, and a lot goes into hammering out all the details. While customers receiving a notice like this may be standard as part of ongoing talks, it doesnt mean that a resolution will be met in time before customers lose access to that channel. WWE and NXT have not publicly commented on the potential impact, and Nexstar has not issued its own statement as of this writing.

As of this writing, WWE NXT is scheduled to air as usual at 8:00 PM EST on Tuesday nights, but Fios customers may want to monitor the situation closely. Hopefully, they reach a happy end to this situation as the negotiation deadline approaches.

Whats your take on these customers possibly losing access to WWE NXT? Do you believe that all WWE programming should just be on Netflix? Let us know what you think in the comments section!
