Daniil Medvedev now has 21 titles in his collection and Andy Roddick reacted to it by funnily stating that the Russian's title count can now "legally drink" in the United States.

After 29 long months, Medvedev finally ended his title drought after making it all the way at last week's ATP 250 tournament in Almaty, Kazakhstan. While fans were happy to see the former world No. 1 winning his first title since the 2023 Rome Masters, the majority also couldn't help but notice that the 29-year-old once again won a tournament in a different city - the Russian tennis star has never won the same tournament twice, although he has 21 titles in his collection.

Roddick on all of Medvedev's 21 titles coming at a different tournament: The weirdest stat in tennis

"Medi making a late run here, putting some points back on the board... Kind of slid to 20 in the world. Post-US Open, 20-ish, now back up to 14, I believe, after Almaty. 21 titles, 21 different cities. Weirdest stat in tennis comes through," Roddick said on his Served podcast.

Roddick then acknowledged that Medvedev pulled off something impressive by winning 20+ titles in his career, before also cracking a little joke.

"There's not that many players in history, I'd guess 40-ish, maybe give or take three, four on each side, who have won 20 titles. Like, you talk about the guys who have won 20 titles, and you're talking about some pretty heady company for Medvedev. Now his title account can legally drink in this country (the USA). That's great," Roddick added.

After winning Almaty, Medvedev himself joked about his odd title stat.

"It continues my funny story of 21 titles in 21 different cities," the 29-year-old said.

Jokes aside, surely the most important thing for Medvedev was that he managed to get the monkey off his back and finally lift a title again.
