Ridge Holland has shared a worrying update about his health just as his WWE contract is set to expire.
The former Brawling Brute took to social media on October 21, 2025, revealing that hes heading to Birmingham, Alabama, for a major medical check-up that could determine the next steps in his recovery and possibly his future in wrestling.
Holland, who suffered a severe foot injury during a TNA taping earlier this year, explained that hes due to have his cast removed next week and will undergo additional X-rays to check the healing progress. However, he also revealed that another issue a lingering neck injury could result in surgery if things dont go as hoped.
Hollands update comes at a difficult time. His WWE contract officially expires on November 14, and despite the injury happening during a WWE-approved appearance for TNA, he wont be paid once the deal ends. WWE is covering his rehab only because of the legal implications that could arise if they didnt, according to Fightful Select.
The former rugby players situation has reportedly left many inside the WWE locker room disappointed, with several talent privately criticizing how the company handled his case. Hollands previous contract extension was said to be worth around $200,000 less than his main roster deal, and he didnt receive any additional pay for the TNA taping where the injury occurred.
Now, with a potential neck surgery looming and no paycheck coming in, Ridge Holland faces months of rehab and uncertainty. Its a brutal situation for a performer whos given years to the business, only to be left recovering without financial stability.
