Jazmy Nyx joined WWE back in 2022 and quickly became one of the most promising stars in the developmental brand. Considering how unique her name was, Nyx has now revealed the origins of her WWE ring name.
While speaking on the Ariel Helwani Show, Jazmyn Nyx explained how she got her WWE ring name. She said that once talent starts improving and showing dedication, the company reaches out to discuss potential names, asking wrestlers to submit a list of their ideas. The final choice, however, depends on what WWE wants and how they see the performer.
Jazmyn included her name among her top two choices, and WWE decided to go with it after asking if she liked it. She also shared that her inspiration came from the Bratz Dolls, which she loved growing up.
One of the dolls was named Yasmin, a name she liked, but she felt Jazmyn suited her better, especially since people often compare her to a Bratz Doll.
This comes after we had previously reported thatJazmyn Nyx chose not to re-sign with the companyafter they offered her a new contract. Regardless, well have to see whether she will make her way back to WWE one day or any other company for that matter, as anything is possible in the world of professional wrestling.
