Fans tuning into the October 20, 2025 episode of WWE RAW from Sacramento may have noticed that two veteran SuperstarsXavier Woods of The New Day and Erik of The War Raiderswere missing in action. While their absences sparked questions online, theres now a clear reason behind it.
According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Live, both Woods and Erik missed the show because they were on previously scheduled vacations. He clarified on social media that their time off had been planned in advance and had nothing to do with injuries or creative changes.
While Erik took the week off, his tag partner Ivar still appeared on RAW and competed in the main event battle royal. Erik hasnt wrestled since The War Raiders defeated The Creed Brothers during the October 13 taping of WWE Main Event.
Xavier Woods has been sharing photos from his vacation in Italy, enjoying some downtime away from the ring. His last in-ring appearance came during a dark match at the October 3 SmackDown taping, where The New Day lost to The War Raiders.
Even while on vacation, Woods couldnt resist commenting on WWEs recent tag team title shakeup. After Dragon Lee and AJ Styles defeated The Judgment Day to win the titles, Woods shared a short video reacting to the outcome and added a caption expressing his frustration with how fans have treated The New Day. He said that people had fallen in love with moments over logic and made them out to be the bad guys before joking that he was glad to be in Italy instead of dealing with the drama.
Both Woods and Erik are expected back on television soon, and their returns could shake up WWEs tag team division as new champions emerge and rivalries start to form.
