Rhea Ripley is known for her toughness, but even she couldnt walk away unscathed from WWEs SuperShow in Tokyo, Japan.
The former Womens World Champion was left bloodied after a brutal mid-air collision during her multi-woman match at Ryogoku Sumo Hall, and now the true severity of her injury has been revealed.
Ripley was teaming with Raquel Rodriguez against IYO SKY and Stephanie Vaquer when disaster struck. Raquel launched IYO into Ripley, smashing her face and leaving her nose visibly swollen and bleeding. WWE medical staff quickly pulled Ripley from ringside for treatment, though she later reassured fans she was in good spirits with a cheeky post on social media.
But according to Bryan Alvarez, the injury was far more serious than it first appeared.
Despite the break, Ripley showed up later in the night for the closing segment, joining AJ Styles in what was likely his final match in Japan. Afterward, she posted several images online showing the full extent of the damage, her face swollen but her defiance intact.
Now the big question is whether Ripley will be cleared for action in time for WWEs Saturday Nights Main Event.
