Everyone was impressed by Carlos Alcaraz's 2025 season, which has projected him into a new dimension thanks to the consistency acquired from the spring onwards. The Spanish ace has always been gifted with an exceptional talent that allowed him to make a difference, but he was not so regular within the season and it is for this reason that he had accumulated a heavy gap compared to his main rival Jannik Sinner in the ATP ranking.
The 22-year-old from Murcia had not started this year brilliantly and had also shown a drop in motivation, but the premature elimination at the Miami Open gave him the necessary jolt to change something. The results obtained by Carlitos from spring onwards have been absolutely exceptional and have allowed him to dethrone Sinner by returning to the top of the ATP rankings, while highlighting how the Italian star was damaged by the three-month ban between February and May (in which he had to miss all tournaments).

Carlitos wants to make history
After his second career win at the US Open last month, the six-time Grand Slam champion participated in the Laver Cup in San Francisco and then won the Tokyo ATP 500 despite an ankle injury sustained during his first match. For this reason, he decided to skip the Shanghai Rolex Masters and returned to action directly at the 'Six Kings Slam' in Saudi Arabia these days.
In an interview with 'Tennis365', former British star Tim Henman who had the chance to spend time with Carlos during the Laver Cup confessed that he was very surprised by his attitude on and off the court: "We spent some time together during the Laver Cup this year and I wasn't impressed with Carlitos just as a player, but also as a person. His values on and off the court are truly exceptional and there is no doubt that he has raised the bar for tennis with his electrifying style.
