Andrade El Idolos future just got a lot more complicated. While fans were hoping his AEW run would kick into high gear, new reports suggest WWE could keep him sidelined far longer than anyone expected.
According to PWInsider, the word making its way through lucha circles is that Andrade may be contractually blocked from wrestling for up to one year following his WWE termination. The belief is that this is due to an alleged breach of his WWE deal, and the clause could only be lifted if successfully challenged in court.
This latest twist comes on top of WWEs surprise enforcement of a 90-day clause after Andrade was believed to be free from the company. Adding fuel to the fire, sources told said that Andrade has a very good lawyer ready to step in if he chooses to challenge WWEs actions.
The mess leaves Andrade in limbo. AEW really didnt had to reshuffle short-term creative after his sudden disappearance, but sources maintain theyre still planning to use him once the legal situation is resolved. Until then, Andrade remains on the sidelines, and the question is whether hell fight the stipulation or ride it out.
Do you think Andrade should lawyer up and fight WWE to get back in the ring, or just wait it out and make a bigger return later? Share your thoughts in the comments.
