Fans were shocked to see Andrade show up on AEW television so soon after his WWE release. Then WWE stepped in and El Idolo disappeared, because Andrade was breaking a clause in his contract by being on Tony Khans television show. That has caused a lot of people to speak about the matter, including Ricochet.
Andrade has obtained legal services as he battles this situation. Now, reports are out that Andrade might be shelved for over a year. That could certainly dampen El Idolos run in the pro wrestling world.
Ricochet obviously heard this controversy about Andrade online. He posted on X to let everyone know where he stood on things. Its safe to say that hes not shedding a tear, but instead, he wants to plug the fact that his team beat the Hurt Syndicate on AEW Dynamite.
WWE has been accused of many things since this situation unfolded. From selectively enforcing their wellness policy to their hard-nosed contracts with one-year non-compete clauses, this has given fans a lot to talk about.
Only time will tell what the future holds for this situation. Andrade would have been an asset to AEW, but this new controversy is certainly interesting. That being said, WWE contracts are highly-sealed.
In the meantime, Ricochet will continue doing his thing in AEW. He left WWE as his contract expired, and he was free to go. We will keep our eye on more updates for this story here at Ringside News.
