Santos EscobarsWWE contract came to an end at midnighton October 6. Instead of exploring other options, he ended up re-signing with WWE just two days later and now WWEs reaction to Escobar re-signing has been revealed.
According to Fightful Select, before Santos Escobar re-signed with WWE, there were rumors that he might appear at New York Comic Con this weekend and that appearance was legitimately planned.
It was then noted that there were no serious talks between Escobar and AEW before he renewed his WWE contract. Sources say his new WWE deal is a strong one, described as being for great money.
Many people within WWE were pleasantly surprised to see Escobar return. Many people had assumed the exploding offer would also apply to Santos Escobar and thats exactly what happened.
While many in WWE are obviously happy that Santos Escobar will remain part of the company, his contract expiration did derail plans for him to win the AAA Mega Championship. Nevertheless, well have to wait and see what the future holds for Escobar now that hes back with WWE for good.
