Linda Noskova had jokes despite losing the Beijing final as the Czech called Amanda Anisimova "annoying" due to the way the American has played over the last couple of months.
On Sunday, Noskova - who will be celebrating her 21st birthday in October - played her maiden WTA 1000 final. On the other side, Anisimova competed in her third final in the 1000-level category. The Czech competed solid and came a set away from winning the title, before the third-seeded American registered a 6-0 2-6 6-2 win.
For Anisimova, it was her second WTA 1000 title. Before winning Beijing, the 24-year-old American also enjoyed great runs at Wimbledon and US Open, where she finished as runner-up.

Noskova to Anisimova: You've been more than annoying to all of us
I just want to congratulate Amanda youve been playing amazing throughout this whole year actually. Youve been more than annoying to all of us! But really, wow great tennis, and good luck to you and your team as well," the 20-year-old Czech told the reigning Beijing champion during her runner-up speech.
On a more serious note, Noskova admitted that she was thrilled with her China Open run and that she didn't expect to reach the title match. En route to making her first WTA 1000 final, some of the names that the Czech overcame include Zheng Qinwen and Jessica Pegula.
These two weeks have been nothing short of great.I definitely didnt come here expecting to play in the final, so it was a really nice surprise. Its been a great tournament for my career," the 20-year-old admitted.
