Coco Gauff says Chinese tennis fans are treating her as nicely as possible, and reveals she has received more gifts over the last couple of days than she does for Christmas.
After exiting the US Open in the round-of-16 and spending some time at her home in the United States, Gauff came to China last week to start her Asian swing in Beijing. And so far, so good for the world No. 3, who defeated Kamilla Rakhimova and Leylah Fernandez to progress into the round-of-16.
On the court, Gauff is doing well in Beijing. Off the court, the 21-year-old drew major attention from fans - especially from little girls - and she is feeling it all.

Gauff: I've received more gifts than I've gotten on Christmas
"It's more gifts than I've gotten on Christmas, and I was a pretty spoiled kid (smiling). It's just insane. Every day I've woken up here, I definitely feel that gratefulness. Now I want to take that more on the road. I don't know if I'll get as many gifts elsewhere in the world. I hope the western side of the world can be as nice as the Chinese fans are with the gift giving because I love gifts. I love being spoiled. I like receiving things. It's fun... Yeah, I love it here. And I love my life that I live, for sure," the American tennis star said.
Gauff's tennis and charisma have made her one of the most popular female tennis players, and it is not a secret that she is being idolized by girls around the world, hoping to one day be just like her.

Meanwhile, Gauff is set to battle against Belinda Bencic for a place in the Beijing quarterfinal. Bencic has never been an easy opponent for the American, but the current world No. 3 still leads their head-to-head 3-2.
