Indianapolis may have signed a major deal with WWE, but when it comes to WrestleMania, the city is still left wondering whenor ifits actually happening.

Back in 2024, Indianapolis reached an agreement with WWE that included a Royal Rumble, SummerSlam, and WrestleMania. But despite that commitment, theres still no clear date locked in for any of those premium events, and sources via Fightful Select close to the deal say the timeline is a mystery. One insider admitted they have no clue when a WrestleMania will actually land in the city.

That confusion only deepens with Minneapolis now confirmed to host SummerSlam in 2026, which pushes Indianapolis earliest possible slot for any event to SummerSlam 2027. WrestleMania? Completely up in the air.

WWE did confirm WrestleMania 2026 for Las Vegas and 2027 for Saudi Arabia, officially removing New Orleans from its originally expected 2026 hosting plans. A source close to that deal said theyd believe it when they see it, regarding a future WrestleMania for the Big Easy.

Despite the uncertainty, those in Indianapolis say the relationship with WWE is still in a good placethanks in part to the success of WrestlePalooza earlier this year. But with no set date, and other cities getting priority, fans and officials in Indy are growing impatient.
