After nearly 10 years in WWE, Akira Tozawa is now hinting that his days inside the ring may be numbered. The former Cruiserweight Champion posted a cryptic message on Twitter that has fans questioning whats next for the longtime star.

Alongside a photo from his recent match against Dragon Lee on WWE Main Event, Tozawa wrote:

Tozawa has been with WWE since the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic, where he quickly became a fan favorite and went on to capture the Cruiserweight Championship in 2017. Though he remained active across Raw, 205 Live, and Main Event, his presence on weekly television has dwindled in recent years.

Currently aligned with Alpha Academy on Raw, Tozawa has only wrestled twice on the red brand in all of 2025. Most of his in-ring work this year has come on Main Event, including his latest appearance at the September 1 taping, where he teamed with Otis and Maxxine Dupri to defeat his own Alpha Academy teammates.

While WWE hasnt made any official statement about Tozawas future, the tweet suggests he may be reassessing his physical limits after years of wear and tear.
