Despite being featured prominently in promotional material for WrestleMania 42 and the 2026 Royal Rumble, Lesnar is stepping out of the spotlightfor now. According to Fightful Select, WWE is keeping Lesnar off weekly programming in the near term.
This update comes as WWE continues to make long-term plans around Lesnars major return dates. Sources have confirmed hes internally listed for both the 2026 Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia and WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, meaning the creative team is working with the expectation that hell be a key part of both blockbuster shows.
Lesnars face is even front and center on the official WrestleMania 42 poster, signaling WWE has no plans to hold him backdespite ESPN previously distancing itself from him amid the Janel Grant lawsuit. WWE, on the other hand, is going full steam ahead, using him as one of the main attractions heading into 2026.
As for who Lesnar could face, reports from Bodyslam.net suggest that Bron Breakker is being discussed internally. WWE has reportedly floated the idea of the powerful newcomer taking on Lesnar in a generational clash, potentially sparked by an elimination at the Royal Rumble.
Its still early, and nothings locked in yetbut if WWE is aiming for a passing of the torch moment, Lesnar vs. Breakker in Las Vegas might be the matchup to do it.
