TNA Wrestling has officially confirmed what many suspectedMasha Slamovich is out of the Victory Road lineup, and her planned match has been replaced just hours before showtime. The announcement comes as Slamovich continues to deal with the fallout from serious domestic violence allegations made by her ex-partner AKIRA.
Instead of competing at tonights event, Slamovich has now been quietly removed from TNA programming altogether. The company revealed that Knockouts World Champion Ash By Eleganceformerly known as Dana Brookewill now have a segment during Victory Road in Edmonton, Alberta, where shell make a special announcement live on TNA+ at 9PM ET. TNA made the announcement on social media, writing:
The timing makes it clearthis segment is directly replacing Slamovichs spot on the card, which had previously gone unacknowledged following the controversy. It also further signals TNAs decision to move forward without Slamovich for the time being. Earlier reports indicated that she is no longer expected at any of the upcoming Impact tapings.
Several indie promotions, including Prestige Wrestling and West Coast Pro, have already pulled her from scheduled appearances. Now with TNA removing her from television entirely, its clear that companies across the board are distancing themselves in response to the allegations.
