Lezyne releases its first radar system

Published September 23, 2025

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. (BRAIN) Lezyne has unveiled a new front and rear LED bike light system featuring vehicle detection radar technology and built-in visual and audio alerts. Like other radar systems, it can pair with most GPS head units or with Lezyne's mobile app. Unlike some other systems, Lezyne's radar provides visual and audio alerts to the rider through its paired front light for riders that don't use a GPS head unit. The rear-facing radar can also be used alone, where the unit's light will enter a special flash pattern when it detects an approaching vehicle.

Lezyne also leveraged its experience in the light market by providing a 300-lumen max rear bike light integrated with the Radar Drive rear unit, and a 1200-lumen max front bike light.

Each light is available for purchase individually or as the Radar React System (front and rear pair).

"It's a complete visibility solution with just a front and rear light: Riders benefit from daytime visibility via disruptive flash modes, improved awareness through radar detection and alerts, and a front light bright enough for advanced night riding," the company said.

Radar detection range is 150 meters. Lezyne's Radar Ally mobile app allows users to visually and/or audibly track rear-approaching vehicles. The app also can be used to customize system alerts, control the front and rear lights, and check for system firmware updates.

Both lights are IPX7 waterproof rated and are USB-C rechargeable. The React Drive provides up to 70-hours of battery runtime and the Radar Drive will last for up to 20 hours.

"We are extremely pleased to release this new system," said Terry Cooke, Lezyne vice president of engineering. "We took extra care in our development to be sure the Radar React System is extremely powerful, but also easy to use and versatile. This is for everyone that wants to improve safety and visibility, not just hardcore cyclists!"

"This is truly a great product we can be proud of," said Nico Jeczawitz, Lezyne vice president of sales and marketing. "It's a testament to Lezyne's commitment to innovation and improving the cycling experience."

MSRP pricing:

Radar Drive: $179.99
React Drive $124.99
Radar React System: $279.99.
