Vaquer captured the vacant WWE Womens World Championship by defeating IYO SKY with a picture-perfect Spiral Tap at the ESPN-era launch event. Originally set to challenge Naomi at WWE Clash In Paris, plans shifted after Naomi announced her pregnancy and relinquished the title. That opened the door for Vaquer to step into the spotlight on one of WWEs biggest stages.
But the victory meant far more than just championship gold. Speaking to Pete Rosenberg after the match, Vaquer got emotional when she revealed that her father was in the crowdand it was the first time he had ever seen her wrestle.
