Day 2 of this year's Laver Cup is ahead of us in San Francisco. Team Europe enters it with a 3-1 lead following Friday's strong performance and three victories. The red team will have to dig deep to reduce the deficit ahead of the most important day.
Alexander Zverev and Alex de Minaur will start the action at the Chase Center. The German will kick off another Laver Cup campaign, hoping to bring two points for the blue squad.
Zverev leads de Minaur 8-2, with their latest clash coming at last year's Roland Garros. The Aussie notched two victories on hard court, although the better-ranked rival clinched a win in their only indoor duel in Vienna.
Alexander is the favorite, but he will likely have to work hard to defeat one of the fastest and most persistent players on the Tour. In the second match, Holger Rune takes upon Francisco Cerundolo.
The Dane celebrated in their only duel at Roland Garros two years ago, prevailing in a thrilling five-setter after four hours of fearsome battle. Holger will make his Laver Cup debut against the rival who is 2-0 in the singles action at this competition.

In the most anticipated match of the day, Carlos Alcaraz battles against Taylor Fritz. It will be a top-5 battle, and likely the match of the day if they both perform at their best.
The Californian will try to avenge last year's painful defeat in the deciding match in Berlin, when the Spaniard scored a 6-2, 7-5 victory to secure the title for Team Europe on his debut.
Alcaraz is 3-0 against Fritz, with their latest duel coming at Wimbledon two months ago. The younger player prevailed in that one, and we should get another high-quality encounter.
Holger Rune and Casper Ruud will join their Nordic forces against Alex de Minaur and Alex Michelsen in the last match of the day.
