For Bret, it wasnt just about the money. It was the complete lack of acknowledgment. Goldbergs only apology came eight months after the injuryand by then, it meant nothing.
Hart pointed out that stars like Bryan Danielson turned down Saudi deals on principle. And while Bret admits he might not have been able to walk away from a $3 million offer himself, the sting comes from being completely ignored while Goldberg raked in massive checks.
