Barcelona will swap out their regular sponsor for Ed Sheeran when they face Real Madrid in El Clasico next month, continuing their tradition of featuring music icons on their shirts through their partnership with Spotify.

Spotify, who hold the naming rights to Camp Nou, have previously replaced the sponsor logo for Barcas biggest game with the likes of Drake, Rosala, The Rolling Stones, Karol G, Coldplay and Travis Scott.

Sheeran will now join that list when Barcelona travel to the Santiago Bernabu on October 26.

According to Catalan outlet RAC1, the shirt will feature either Ed Sheerans name or the logo of his new album "Play". Barca kit specialist @memorabilia1899 has claimed both designs are being considered.

As with previous collaborations, a lifestyle collection tied to the special shirt may also drop, with proceeds often directed towards charity, though no details have been confirmed this time around.

Sheeran who, fittingly, once released a song titled "Barcelona" back in 2017 released "Play" on September 12 to mixed reviews.

If Hansi Flicks side, however, can beat Madrid in the Sheeran-stamped shirts, you can bet the Catalan faithful will be screaming it out loud (see what we did there?).
