Rey Mysterio suffered a series of injuries that forced him to pull out of his scheduled match at WrestleMania 41. As his return draws near, it appears WWE has big plans for him.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, WWE plans to feature Rey Mysterio in a major role for the companys new AAA partnership once he is fully recovered and back in action. It was said that Mysterio is healing well following his recent surgery.
Sources also indicate that WWE is considering at least one more AAA streaming event before the end of the year, with speculation pointing to Survivor Series weekend in San Diego, which would be a fitting location given Mysterios deep ties to the city.
Rey Mysterios upcoming return is expected to be more than a typical comeback. It could become a major moment in WWEs growing partnership with AAA. So well have to see just how well hell be booked once hes back.
