Golf fans know how important the fans play at each edition of the Ryder Cup. That's one of the reasons why it's rare in the world of golf for a visiting team to celebrate at the Ryder Cup.

Sir Nick Faldo, a man with vast experience and a person who knows this competition well, commented on what Europeans can expect in New York.

It is important to point out that Rory McIlroy emphasized a few days ago that their team was preparing in a specific way, using virtual reality headsets to replicate the atmosphere that can be expected at Bethpage Black.

It is difficult to say precisely what a European player can expect at Bethpage Black. It is clear that different reactions from the audience can be expected, but it is important to learn how to deal with it and how to respond in the right way.

There is no doubt that Luke Donald has prepared his team outside VR, giving them clear instructions and indications of how they should behave on away soil.

Sir Nick Faldo could certainly be an important figure for European golfers, given that his experience in this competition speaks volumes.

"This one could get a little more personal," Faldo said, as quoted by Golf Magic.

"I don't think we had anything personal [in our day]. Just a little bit over the years.

But again, this is not going to be a surprise. It's not going to be, oh my goodness, somebody shouted something.

They've just got to know what their game plan is and how they're going to deal with it. That's the most important thing.

Something will be said at the wrong time, that sort of thing.

Hopefully it's... If somebody's giving you abuse, well, you've got to have your own personal way of looking at them and laughing, feeling sorry for them, that sort of thing.

Or if it gets very serious, I'm sure there's going to be a, whatever they call it, a protocol to have them removed or whatever. It gets way over the top. We don't know."

Ticket price

Sir Nick Faldo stresses that the price of tickets will be high, so most people will have trouble actually coming to the golf courses and provoking the visiting players.

Faldo expects that this will prevent some of those who want to provoke reactions and behave unusually at this year's edition.

"You know, the fact is they [tickets] cost 750 bucks. So to go and have a day at the golf course is going to cost you 1,000 bucks by the time you've got there and fed yourself.

So that might eliminate a few if somebody wants to go and be an ---."
