The Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship in Barcelona has been added to next year's schedule. It will be played in Catalonia from May 7 to 10 at the Real Club de Golf El Prat. This event is part of the agreement that brings the Ryder Cup back to Spain after Valderrama. The 2031 Ryder Cup will be held at the Camiral. El Prat will host a DP World Tour event for the first time since 2015 (the Spanish Open).
The Amgen Irish Open has a new venue: the tournament recently won by Rory McIlroy moves from the K Club in Straffan to the Trump International Golf Links in Doonbeg, from September 10 to 13. The tournament will once again be part of the Back 9 mini-circuit.

In total, the 2026 DP World Tour consists of seven rounds, plus the finals. The season opens on November 27 in Australia. The Opening Swing will conclude in South Africa. Then comes the International Swing (from Dubai to Bahrain, from Joburg to Kenya), and the Asian Swings (China, India, and Turkey). The professionals will not set foot in Europe until May 7th, right at El Prat: the European Swing will continue until July, at the BMW International in Munich. This will be followed by the Closing Swing and The Back 9. The grand season finale, as always, will take place in Dubai.

Some locations are still to be decided. The 2026 DP World Tour schedule lists the dates for all the competitions, but not all the locations. Among those with a question mark is the 2026 Italian Open: it will be played from June 25th to 28th. The venue, however, is still to be determined, but the Italian Golf Federation is working on it. The US Open will be played the week before our Open in Southampton.
Other important Open events are also yet to be decided: the Turkish Open currently has no home, as do those in India and Kenya. The dates and continents of two events are known, but not the venue: one is in the Middle East from February 5th to 8th, and the other in Europe from August 20th to 23rd. The Genesis Championship will be held in South Korea.

The Genesis Scottish Open, at the Renaissance Club (July 9th-12th), will once again be organized by the PGA TOUR and is one of the five most prestigious events, a Rolex Series. The others are the Hero Dubai Desert Classic (January 22nd-25th), the BMW PGA Championship (September 17th-20th), and the two playoffs, the Abu Dhabi Championship (November 5th-8th) and the DP World Tour Championship (November 12th-15th).
The number of professionals who will retain their full membership to play on the DP World Tour in 2027 has dropped from the top 110 to the top 100. The number of cards for those moving up from the Qualifying School (from 20 to 15) and the HotelPlanner Tour circuit (again from 20 to 15) has been reduced.
