Former WWE star Maria Kanellis is urging fans to take skin cancer seriously after revealing she underwent surgery to remove a cancerous mole from her leg.
In a revealing post on X/Twitter, Maria shared photos from her hospital bed and showed the area where she had the procedure. The former WWE Diva said the cancer was caught earlybut it was still serious enough to require surgical removal. She opened her message with a warning to fans:
Maria expressed gratitude that the condition was detected early but admitted the experience was draining: Feeling very blessed they caught it so early but definitely exhausted.
She also noted the physical reminder of what she went through: I will have a beautiful 3 inch scar on my leg.
Adding a unique touch to her journey, she shared a photo of a tattoo-like symbol on her leg just before surgery and explained its meaning: They marked it with an eye before surgery to apparently to keep away bad spirits.
