
WWE NXT is kicking off with serious heat tonight, and fans now know whos opening the show.
Just under an hour before the September 9 episode went live, WWE dropped a social media clip showing JeVon Evans in a backstage moment with Ava. The rising NXT star made it very clear he isnt waiting around to settle business with Josh Briggs, stating, Come 8 oclock, its on sight.
The footage confirms that Evans vs. Briggs will open tonights show. With NXT building toward the No Mercy Premium Live Event, this match is set to kick off the action in Orlando.
The rest of the NXT lineup includes Trick Williams calling out #DIY after last weeks brutal ambush, a Flag Match between Ethan Page and Tavion Heights, and a WWE Womens Tag Team #1 Contenders Elimination Match. Faby Apache will also make her NXT debut against Lainey Reid in the Womens Speed Championship tournament, and the NXT Tag Team Titles will be on the line as DarkState battles Hank Walker & Tank Ledger.
