WWE NXT is bringing the action home next week.

On the September 9 episode of NXT, the groundwork was laid for a major night as the brand prepares for its Homecoming special at Full Sail Arena. Several big returns and match setups gave fans a clear preview of whats ahead.

One of the major moments came when Carmelo Hayes returned to NXT, stepping up alongside Trick Williams to take on Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa. That tag team clash between Trick & Melo Gang and #DIY is set for next week, with Hayes declaring hes back to handle unfinished business.

Also returning this week was Tyler Breeze, who made his presence felt in a big way. After Tavion Heights defeated Ethan Page in a flag match, Breeze walked out, posed next to a fallen Page, and snapped a selfie. Now Breeze has a shot at the NXT North American Championship next week during Homecoming.

The womens division is heating up too. Tiffany Stratton, Rhea Ripley, and Stephanie Vaquer came back to NXT to confront Fatal Influence. That confrontation has now set up a six-woman tag match at Full Sail.

As for the NXT North American Champion Oba Femi, his next challenger might already be lined up. Hell share the ring with Ricky Saints during a face-off at Homecoming to build toward their match at No Mercy.

WWE NXT Homecoming airs September 16 from Full Sail Arena, and its looking like one of the brands biggest nights in recent memory.
