Swerve Strickland was written off AEW television at Forbidden Door since he needed to have surgery. After lots of anticipation, it seems Strickland finally underwent successful surgery.

The former AEW World Champion took to her Instagram story and uploaded a photo of his knee after surgery. He also took to Twitter and confirmed he had successful surgery, simply saying, Success.

As reported earlier, Swerve Strickland had been dealing with a torn meniscus injury for a long time. Thats precisely why AEW was already prepared for Swerve Strickland to take time off in order to have surgery.

As for how things went for him at Forbidden Door, he failed to defeat Kazuchika Okada for the AEW Unified Championship and was immediately attacked by both Okada and a returning Wardlow.

Now that his surgery is complete, fans will have to wait and see how long Strickland will be out of action, but the important first step toward recovery has already been taken. So it remains to be seen when hell return, as its clear Strickland will be away for a long time.
