Free agent wide receiver Amari Cooper is returning to the Raiders organization on a one-year contract, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Cooper, 30, entered free agency after three high profile trades marked his last team changes. The Oakland Raiders traded him to the Dallas Cowboys during the 2018 season, the Cowboys traded him to the Cleveland Browns in the 2022 offseason, and the Buffalo Bills acquired him this past October from the Browns.
The 10-year veteran played in eight games in the regular season and three more in the postseason for the Bills. During some of that time, he dealt with a left wrist injury suffered in his second game with the team.
The Bills traded a 2025 third-round pick as part of the deal for Cooper. While he aided the offense by his presence on the field alone, he caught 20 of 32 regular season targets for 297 yards and two touchdowns and had just six postseason catches and zero touchdowns.
Cooper is coming off the lowest production season of his career. The 2015 fourth-overall pick by the Raiders has put together 1,000-yard receiving seasons seven times, including a career-high 1,250 in 2023.
He has 711 career receptions, 10,033 receiving yards and 64 touchdowns in 10 NFL seasons.
