Emma Raducanu may not have had much success in this year's US Open mixed doubles tournament but she is a big admirer of the idea and she is urging other Grand Slams to do something similar.
For the first time ever, a Grand Slam mixed doubles tournament lasted for only two days and took place during the qualifying week. Instead of the tournament featuring mainly doubles specialists, it mostly consisted of top singles players, with the Fast4 scoring format being used during matches. While the new format landed some major criticism toward the US Open organizers, they were successful in their goal of making it a watched event as the stands were full on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Raducanu and Alcaraz, who were one of the most attractive pairs to watch to sign up for the tournament, didn't make it far after losing 2-4 2-4 to No. 1 seeds Jessica Pegula and Jack Draper.
Raducanu defends the US Open mixed doubles format, calls for other Slams to do something similar
I think it would be so fun if all the slams got involved and did something similar, even if it was not the exact same format. I think it was a huge success. I think so many fans got involved, so many people watching and tuned in. It got a lot of attention. I think it was a great idea. And, yeah, I had a lot of fun on the court playing with Carlos," 2021 US Open singles winner Raducanu said.

When the US Open completely revamped its mixed doubles format, they didn't hide that their intention was to try to make it a more entertaining tournament for fans and lure more crowds to the stands. As mentioned above, that task was completed successfully.
Meanwhile, Raducanu now turns her focus to thesingles tournament at Flushing Meadows, where she plays qualifier Ena Shibahara in the first round. When the 22-year-old Briton meets the Japanese, she will look to clinch her first win in New York since 2021.
