Bob MacIntyre is a truly outstanding golfer this season, and he looks to be well on his way to finishing the season in style. Taking part in the Tour Championship, the first day turned out to be great for him, but the 29-year-old played just as great during the second day.
However, Bob MacIntyre's main focus appears to be on the Ryder Cup, where he made his first appearance two years ago.
Hand on heart, the Scottish golfer didn't excel in Rome, but still his team took the victory.
However, the Scottish golfer is now establishing himself as one of the main names on the PGA Tour and as one of the golfers who will probably lead the way in the future, although he is close to it now.
Speaking to the media, the Scottish golfer was asked how many players' numbers he didn't have on his phone in the first group chat two years ago.
Now that he has gained a certain status and gotten to know his colleagues better, the 29-year-old has significantly better relations with all of them, especially with the European golfers he will be competing with in less than a month.
Out of the 12 players, probably eight of them, he said.
Bob only had numbers from 4 golfers, it is still unknown which ones.
Yeah. A bit different now, he said, while smiling.
Tour Championship: Second day
Bob MacIntyre is currently at 10 under par, three shots behind leading golfers Tommy Fleetwood and Russell Hanley.
He still sees some flaws in his game, aware that he has to improve. However, the most important thing for him is to understand where he makes the most mistakes in the coming weeks, try to improve his form even more and help his team celebrate on away soil.
Same again, said MacIntyre.
I drove the ball great again and putting still decent. Didn't hole anything special, but just tidied up when I needed to. I was disappointed in my wedges, to be honest. I didn't hit many close. I hit the one on 17 close eventually.
