Back in 2023, the Young Bucks made it clear they were done with Being the Elite and the popular series has been on hiatus since then. However, Being the Elite is finally back and the latest video showed the Bucks contemplating renaming their finisher.
In the newest video, Matt and Nick Jackson joked about coming up with a new name for their tag team finisher. Since they arent EVPs in the storyline anymore, they said they couldnt use the old name EVP Trigger.
They laughed about how the move had been countered in the ring and tossed around new names. Nick suggested Young Bucks Trigger, but Matt said it was too long. Nick mentioned a fans joke about calling it the EBT Trigger, but they quickly rejected it, saying they still make good money.
From there, they started coming up with silly names like KTB Trigger, BBC Trigger, Golden Trigger, TRT Trigger, Buckshot Lariat Trigger, Toss My Salad Trigger, Jobber Trigger, and even Hardly Boys Trigger.
Nick made fun of themselves and online critics, joking about being middle-aged spot monkeys with receding hairlines, and called it the Stop Reading the Comments Trigger. Matt pretended to get frustrated, saying maybe they should just drop the move completely.
In the end, Nick suggested going back to the original name, BT Trigger. Matt Jackson agreed, and they ended the segment on that note.
This marked the return of Being the Elite since October 2023 and fans couldnt be happier to see the beloved show back after so long. So now well have to see whether they will keep on uploading videos regularly in the future.
