Things got personal fast on Twitter after WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry compared rising star Blake Monroe to the legendary Mae Youngand Bully Ray couldnt resist jumping in with a callback that had fans doing double takes.
On August 22, 2025, Henry posted: Even if she isnt Mariah May anymore @BlakeMonroeWWE reminds me of my old friend the late, great Mae Young!
Bully Ray, never one to shy away from controversy, quote-posted with a jab rooted in one of the most infamous Attitude Era moments: Id like to do the same thing to Blake that I did to your old friend
He was clearly referencing the time he powerbombed Mae Young through a table on live televisionone of the most shocking visuals in WWE history.
But Blake Monroe didnt back down. She clapped back, go back to coaching #LFG
Whether this turns into something more on-screen remains to be seen, but one things for sureBlake Monroe isnt here to be disrespected.
