WWE is working on a brand-new Premium Live Event for September 20 in Indianapolis but thats not the biggest twist.

According to PWInsider, this mystery event might be more than just another Peacock special. It could actually air on ESPN, well before WWEs 2026 broadcast deal with the network officially begins.

This would serve as a preview of what fans can expect once WWE fully moves to ESPN in April 2026. Currently, WWE PLEs air domestically on Peacock, while Netflix handles international distribution. But with no other PLE currently listed for September and Peacock already set with SummerSlam and Clash in Paris this ESPN deal might fill that gap.

As previously reported, WWE is aiming for September 20 in Indianapolis. Thats the same night AEW will run All Out at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. If WWE moves forward, this would be the first time a main roster Premium Live Event goes directly against an AEW pay-per-view. WWE has booked NXT shows against AEW specials before including Double or Nothing, All In Texas, and Forbidden Door but never at this level.

WWE has yet to reveal the name of the event, but recent trademark filings for old WCW PPV names could offer clues. Fans wont have to wait long to find out sources say WWE is expected to announce full details, including the name and broadcast partner, this week.

If WWE pulls the trigger on ESPN and runs head-to-head with All Out, September 20 might just be one of the wildest nights in wrestling TV history. Ringside News will continue to keep you updated as information becomes available.

Would you watch WWE on ESPN before the official deal starts, especially if it means choosing between them and AEW on the same night? Drop your thoughts in the comments below.
