For many golf fans, J.J. Spaun is the biggest surprise this year. The 34-year-old golfer didn't excel on the PGA Tour until this year, when he did amazing things.
Namely, J.J. Spaun played primarily in The Players Championship Playoff, and shortly thereafter won the US Open in Oakmont.
The famous golfer had an equally great chance at FedEx St. Jude Championship after the playoff round with Justin Rose.
His form makes Ryder Cup team captain Keegan Bradley very happy, having serious expectations from this golfer.
Keegan Bradley, speaking to the media, reflected on J.J. Spaun's performance at the Open, especially at the moment when Spaun seemed relaxed, and did not look like he was on the verge of victory.

The captain of the US team was delighted with his approach, his manner and his behavior.
For me, Im treating the Ryder Cup as a real team. Were not going off past Ryder Cups or what they did. Im trying to act like this is a team that plays all year round, he said, as quoted by The Golfing Gazette.
I think an advantage that Ive had as captain is Im around the guys. Im around the guys in practice rounds, in locker rooms, waiting in rain delays. I saw J.J. Spaun at the U.S. Open in this rain delay, and Im looking at him, and I just like it didnt seem like he was in this position to win the U.S. Open. Seemed like we were there in a practice round. Hes joking around. I remember thinking, this guy, hes a killer. Its crazy. Id be pacing around outside or whatever, so just seeing that."

There is no doubt that Spaun is destined for great things. Few expected him to be among the first to secure a place in the team, but now that he has such a great chance, there is no doubt that he wants to make the most of the opportunity.
The American team is looking to make it big, given the disappointment in Rome two years ago.
This will be an interesting tournament, with many interesting individuals, and Spaun will certainly attract attention.
