According to BodySlam.net, several people within WWE and AAA are pushing for El Grande Americano to win the AAA Mega Championship this Saturday at Triplemana. They feel his character is connecting incredibly with Mexican fans and believe putting the title on him would establish him as one of AAAs top stars in this new era.
The match will feature current champion El Hijo del Vikingo defending his AAA Mega Title against Dominik Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and The Great American in a high-stakes bout and its really anyones game right now.
This also comes after we had previously reported that El Grande Americano is set for a huge push in AAA, so it would really make all the sense in the world for him to win the AAA Mega Championship.
If El Grande Americano wins at Triplemana XXXIII, it could signal a key turning point for AAAs new direction. With strong crowd support and WWEs backing, he might just end up becoming the new champion when all is said and done.
