Hulk Hogans private funeral in Largo, Florida was meant to be a solemn goodbye to one of wrestlings most iconic figures but according to former WWE star B. Brian Blair, things took a sharp turn when Brutus The Barber Beefcakes wife, Missy, allegedly hurled a vulgar insult at Linda Hogan during the service.
Speaking to WrestleBinge, Blair said he was standing next to Linda when he heard the shocking exchange unfold.
Missy reportedly denied saying it, but Blair stuck to his version of events. Security was called, and she was removed from the church. According to Blair, Brutus Beefcake was also there something he found surprising given the personal history between Hogan and Beefcake.
The incident briefly derailed what had otherwise been a quiet and emotional tribute at Indian Rocks Baptist Church. Hogans casket was carried by pallbearers wearing yellow boutonnires a symbolic nod to his iconic ring gear. Kid Rock also paid tribute by wearing a yellow feather in his hat.
The guest list featured major figures from Hogans storied past, including Vince McMahon, Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Sting, Kevin Nash, Lex Luger, Jimmy Hart, Eric Bischoff, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Ted DiBiase, Dean Malenko, Paul Wight, and Brutus Beefcake himself.
Notably absent was Hogans daughter, Brooke, who later revealed she honored her father in her own way by taking her children to his favorite beach. She shared a childhood photo and wrote that she chose to celebrate his life while we have our feet in the same saltwater you loved.
Hulk Hogan died on July 24 at age 71 from a heart attack. A medical report later revealed he had also been privately battling chronic lymphocytic leukemia. The family has confirmed he will be cremated.
The altercation between Missy and Linda Hogan mightve been brief, but it added an unexpected layer of real-life tension to a funeral meant to celebrate a legends life a reminder that some wrestling grudges dont stop when the cameras do.
