AEW has a lot going on, and the August 9 episode of Collision included an interesting challenge.
After Kyle Fletcher beat Ishii in a long match, the TNT Champion got on the microphone. He then cut a promo about how great he is, and he laid down a big challenge for Forbidden Door.
Kyle Fletcher challenged NJPW to send their best to face him at the upcoming pay-per-view. He will even put his new championship on the line. After that, Don Callis was shown backstage, where he said that NJPW is expected to send someone to face Fletcher for the August 13 episode of AEW Dynamite as well.
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2025 will take place at The O2 Arena in London, England, on Sunday, August 24, 2025. Doors open at 4:00 PM BST, and the event begins at 6:00 PM BST, which will be 1:00 PM ET and 10:00 AM PT.
We will have to see how AEW books the next few weeks of programming. Forbidden Door is always an exciting event, and it appears that Kyle Fletcher will get quite an opponent, whoever shows up.
