One week ago, Kyle Fletcher defeated Dustin Rhodes to become the TNT Champion. Tonight, he'll have his first title defense against ISHII. ISHII and The Conglomeration recently won $200,000 over the Don Callis Family on "Collision".
There will be two Trios matches tonight. World Champion, Hangman Page, returns to his home state and will team up with JetSpeed to take on the members of L.F.I. (Beast Mortos, RUSH, & Dralistico).
Last week, Triangle of Madness, Megan Bayne, and Penelope Ford attacked Willow Nightingale. Queen Aminata and TayJay made the save. Nightingale, Aminata, and Tay Melo will look to get even with Triangle of Madness tonight.
We are welcomed by Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinness, and Paul Walter Hauser as Kyle Fletcher comes to the ring. He is not with Don Callis. ISHII follows with his NJPW Men's STRONG Championship.
They start off with forearm exchanges after standing forehead to forehead. Fletcher makes ISHII wobble. They exchange shoulder tackles until ISHII sends him to the mat with a lariat. Fletcher tried to pick him up, but ISHII blocked him. Fletcher went for a lariat, but ISHII ducked and Fletcher fell to the mat. He rolled out of the ring and talked trash to the crowd.
Fletcher backed ISHII up before returning to the ring. He shoved ISHII before exchanging chops. Fletcher sent him to the corner and ISHII took him down with a shoulder tackle before chopping him in the corner. Fletcher put him in a side headlock and took him down with a thrust kick. Fletcher slammed ISHII down to the mat. ISHII chopped him and Fletcher followed with a scoop slam. He followed with a side headlock. ISHII with a saito suplex. Fletcher with a scoop slam into a powerbomb.
After the break, Fletcher kicked ISHII in the neck twice. ISHII reversed a vertical suplex. He chopped the champion into the corner. Fletcher went for a shoulder tackle, but ISHII pounced him. Fletcher escaped to the corner and ISHII placed him on the turnbuckle. Fletcher sends him down with forearms and ISHII responded with a headbutt. ISHII followed with a superplex.
Fletcher sent ISHII off the apron with a running kick. Fletcher placed him on the apron and attempted a brainbuster. ISHII did the same. Fletcher with two superkicks and a brainbuster. Fletcher put in the ring and connected with a Froggy Bow, but ISHII kicked out at two. ISHII with a back body drop and a German Suplex. Fletcher follows with two big boots, but ISHII took him down with an enzuiguri.
They exchange forearms. Fletcher took him down with a lariat. He puts him on a turnbuckle, but ISHII powerbombs him. He turned him inside out with a lariat, but Fletcher kicked out. ISHII goes for a brainbuster, but Fletcher blocks it. ISHII headbutted him and then he went to tackle him, but both men fell to the mat. Fletcher kicked out at two.
Fletcher ducked a sliding lariat and powerbombed him, but ISHII kicks out at 2.5. Fletcher followed with multiple big boots before ISHII flipped Fletcher inside out. Fletcher with a brainbuster for the win.
Winner (and still): Kyle Fletcher
After the match, Fletcher tells the crowd that they witnessed history with his first title defense. He said that he wiped the mat with ISHII-san. He's thinking about "Forbidden Door". He told NJPW to send their best to face him.
