Brooke Hogan is hitting back after facing public backlash for not attending her father Hulk Hogans funeral and shes making it clear her decision wasnt about disrespect, but honoring what he actually wanted.
While speaking with TMZ, Brooke addressed the criticism, explaining she stayed away because the Hulkster never wanted a funeral to begin with. According to her, he made that clear more than once, and she stood by that final wish.
She went on to explain that Hulk Hogan specifically asked to be cremated and have his ashes spread in the Gulf behind his house not memorialized through what she described as a public display with people who barely knew him.
Brooke also didnt shy away from questioning the sincerity of those who did show up, noting that her father wasnt close with many of the people attending.
Ultimately, Brooke said she honored her dad in her own way by going to the beach with her children and putting her feet in the ocean, just as hed always wanted.
While fans continue debating whether she shouldve attended the public service, Brooke isnt backing down. She says she knows what her dad wanted and thats the only opinion that matters to her.
