Bo Van Pelt, 50, from Richmond, Indiana, has spent his career on the PGA Tour, where he won one title (the US Bank Championship, 2009). His list of achievements also includes a victory on the European Tour (now the DP World), one on the Asian Tour, and one on the Nationwide Tour (now the Korn Ferry Tour). Leading after three rounds, he made three birdies in 13 holes in the fourth round, then with two bogeys (71, -1) allowed Fichardt (70, -2, three birdies, one bogey) to catch him, but he recovered in the playoff, where the South African made a double bogey.

Emanuele Canonica had a difficult start with an 81 (+9) for 60th place, but he managed to come back to obtain his third-best result of the season after second place in the Reignwood Legends Championship and fifth in the OFX Irish Legends.

The rules of golf are relatively complicated compared to other sports because they are played outdoors, close to nature and animals. Respecting the rules is a fundamental element in the game of golf, which, almost always based on self-control and the free conscience of the players, often sees distorted results, sometimes consciously, but often unconsciously or through carelessness, due to the failure of many players to comply with the rules of the game. In addition to the rules, golf adheres to a code of conduct, known as etiquette, which generally means playing the game with due respect for the golf course and other players. Etiquette is an essential component of this sport.
