Michael Cole is showing major love to his longtime broadcast partner Taz and hes not holding back on the praise.
During an appearance on WFAN, Cole reflected on his decades in WWE and revealed that out of all the commentators hes worked with, no one compares to Taz. The two called SmackDown together for years, especially during the shows peak under Paul Heymans creative leadership.
The quote quickly made the rounds online, and it didnt take long for Taz to respond. The AEW commentator kept it short but heartfelt.
While Cole is now preparing to call the action for WWEs massive two-night SummerSlam event on August 2nd and 3rd, his comments serve as a reminder of how much respect still exists between the voices that helped define an era of WWE television.
