If there was any doubt that Becky Lynch has been in on the Seth Rollins injury storyline from the start, her post-SummerSlam reaction pretty much confirmed it.
Shortly after Rollins shocked MetLife Stadium by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on CM Punk to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Lynch jumped on Instagram with a video of herself celebrating backstage. The footage shows her literally jumping up and down, clapping in excitement, before leaning into the camera and saying, Oh, Im sorry, were some of my posts misleading? She then followed it up with an unmistakably villainous laugh.
The post immediately lit up social media, with fans pointing out the obvious connection between Lynchs trolling and her earlier clip, which already had people speculating that Rollins knee injury was part of an elaborate plan. Now, after the cash-in played out exactly how many predicted, Lynchs sarcastic dig feels like confirmation that she was in on the long game.
With Rollins back on top and Punks championship reign cut short in seconds, its safe to say this SummerSlam ending will be debated for a long time.
