The Italian ace could not follow the ideal schedule in the early part of 2025 due to the three-month ban he was given after his deal with WADA, but he still lifted two Grand Slam trophies this season, at the Australian Open and Wimbledon Championships respectively.
After suffering the most atrocious disappointment of his young career at Roland Garros, where he was beaten by his top rival Carlos Alcaraz despite having a two-set lead and three match points in a row in the fourth set, the 23-year-old from Sesto Pusteria was able to react like a true champion and raised his level impressively in London a few weeks ago.

The next goal on Jannik's mind is obviously the US Open, where he lifted the trophy last season at the end of a near-perfect run. Before the last Major of the season - in which the Italian will also play mixed doubles together with Emma Navarro during 'Fan Week' - the four-time Grand Slam champion will participate in the Masters 1000 in Cincinnati, where he will be called upon to defend the title as defending champion.
To get to these two tournaments at 100% of his shape, the world number 1 is practicing with maximum effort in Monte Carlo these days and it should not be long before his departure for the United States.
One of Sinner's goals in the second half of the season will be to defend the first position in the ATP ranking from the assault of Alcaraz, despite having to defend many more points than the Spanish star.
