AJ Styles could be making his way back to the company that helped launch his legendary career.

A new report from PWInsider is stirring speculation that the WWE Superstar might show up at this weekends TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view in Long Island.

The talk started after TNA President Carlos Silva dropped one carefully chosen word to tease the show: Phenomenal. That alone sent fans into speculation mode, considering Styles is widely known as The Phenomenal One. According to PWInsider, Silvas specific choice of words has had fans believing that perhaps AJ Styles will finally return to TNA.

The rumors didnt stop there. WWE NXTs Trick Williams, who currently holds the TNA World Championship, added fuel to the fire in a recent interview when he named AJ Styles as the main roster talent he wants to face most. That comment, paired with Silvas tease, only made the speculation stronger.

PWInsider further noted, In asking around among WWE sources, we can confirm there has absolutely been talk that Styles will be making an appearance this weekend. While TNA sources wouldnt confirm anything, Mike Johnson of PWInsider added his own thoughts, writing, If you are hoping to see the prodigal son finally return home, I believe you will be happy if you order or attend Slammiversary.

If Styles does show up, itll mark his first TNA appearance since May 2013. Hes one of the most accomplished stars in company history, having held the NWA World Title, TNA World Title, and X-Division Championship. Currently, hes feuding with Dominik Mysterio on WWE Raw ahead of their SummerSlam clash, but that may not stop him from revisiting his roots for one night.
